as opposed to running twenty miles slowly for instance, which uses up carb stores, then protein stores and finally body fat (which is why marathon runners don’t have massive guns). Weight training KEPT SEPERATE (8 hours +) from HI cardio helps to preserve muscle mass. You will lose muscle when losing weight just like you gain a little muscle when gaining fat, but this approach helps to minimise it.
I’m not exactly a doctor but i know what works. High intensity (HIT) cardio for short durations strips away fat without eating up muscle (as much). Just like weight gain (bodybuilding), weight LOSS occurs outside the gym whilst resting. Short periods of HIT elevate resting metabolism for extended periods (where the primary source of deficit energy is fat)
the inudstry want you to believe supplements are a must. its the same thing as ab machines, they dont rid stomache fat, you cant spot reduce fat, when you lose fat its lost all over stomache being the last place. the industry plays off peoples ignorance, and they are making big bucks. when you get educated and apply is when you realise whats correct.
i think supplements are not a must cause i’ve been doing exercises and cardio not for a long time and muscle mass is appearing,i asked about the supplements because i’ve heard that it’s a must,and you can’t have muscles unless you take them. getting the body to low fat percent is the main problem i think.
you said whey protein is needed a must have, thats the problem with todays lifters, they get hooked on supplements and fail in there program and diet, they think its all about supplements. i get pissed off when people say supplements are needed.
i agree with everthing u said… except me being a moron or idiot… we are sayin the same thing.. lets reveiw, i believe the best way to get ripped is to train like a sprinter would? but even then i still need the extra protein to repair/build muscle. in any type of workout i still believe whey protein is amust for quicker results… i dont see why ur gettin so mad about? its not like im tellin to use steroids or something?
